The plot of Jane Jet

During World War II, in the United States, there was a superhero couple who fought against the Nazis. However, after the war ended, instead of living peaceful lives, their relationship became unbearable, and even domestic violence was involved. This is where the story begins—right when Jane, our protagonist, decides she's had enough of the abuse from her husband, Cal Martin, better known as Rocket Punch, and determines that the best way to end this situation is to kill him and escape. With the help of her friend and neighbor, Tomi, who is dating the very man assigned to pursue Jane for Cal's death, they go into hiding. Together, they create a stronger suit for Jane's alter ego, Jane Jet.

Book 1 of "Jane Jet, Nuclear Shadows“This is an introduction to Jane’s story. Based on some real historical events from World War II, as briefly explained at the end of the comic, Jane Jet is a series of adventures featuring a strong, yet very human, woman. The violence in this comic is moderate, mostly physical (lots of punches, fights, and the occasional explosion). The story is told from Jane’s point of view, where she not only speaks but also shares her thoughts through narration. I love that it’s not a comic overloaded with text, and it tells the reader exactly what they need to know without rambling, making it a very fast read.”

Jane Jet's Trivia

An interesting fact about this work is that Janet Jet is based on a 1941 comic by unknown authors, now in the public domain, called Rocket Man. In Rocket Man, there is a female character named Rocket Girl, who served as the inspiration for this comic.

Another interesting fact is that Dominican artist Elisa Féliz, known for her work on the *Charmed* comics (based on the TV series), contributes as the colorist for the pin-up illustrations at the end of the comic.
